Delano Casten Obituary

Delano Vernon (Del) Casten, 82, of Azalea passed away on May 4, 2015 at his home in Azalea. He was one of six sons to Helen and Robert Casten. He spent more than 50 years in the Azalea and Glendale area. Del was the father of one daughter and stepfather to three more children. He was an active member in his community; having been on the Gendale City Council, organizing the Independence Day parade, and could often be found at Glendale High School football games. Del was a member of the Riddle Masonic Lodge, a Shriner and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Del was an avid Mariners, Seahawks and Oregon Ducks fan. Delano was preceded in death by; his mother and father, Robert and Helen Casten; four brothers, Verdel 'Bang', Weir, Vade and Kenneth Casten; step-daughter, Angalee Brady; and wife, Dorothey Casten. He is survived by; his daughter, Stephanie Casten, and her husband Joel Parks of Azalea; two step-sons, Patrick and Shelly Brady of Marysville, WA; and Larry Wayne and Marsha Brady of Bend, OR; ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 23 at 1pm at the Riddle Masonic Lodge, 145 5th Ave., Riddle OR 97469. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the Shriner's Hospital, Portland, Oregon in Del's name.
