Delfino Coco Obituary

Delfino C. Coco, age 95, Myrtle Creek, Oregon sadly passed away peacefully on November 08, 2025.  He now joins our mother Christina and is ready to proceed on to his next journey.  He was born on January 16, 1930, in Pueblo, Colorado to the late Charles and Louisa Coco.  He married the late Christina Aragon in 1951 and through the years together they had 5 children: Ronnie, Donna, Joni, Annabel, and Gordon.  He enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean War Conflict.  He served with the U.S. Eighth Army, 955th Field Artillery, Republic of Korea from 1950-1953 as a M-101 Howitzer Operator.  He was Honorable Discharged in 1953.  He worked for the Bessemer Steel Mill in Pueblo.  In 1964 he moved his family to California and settled in Hawthorne.  He was employed by McDonnell Douglas Aircraft and various school districts as a Maintenance Technician until his retirement.  He was a jack of all trades and would lend a helping hand to anyone whenever needed.  He took great pride and pleasure with his gardening and landscaping skills, which were always reflected in our childhood home.  He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed his casino visits.  He was preceded in death by his parents, all his siblings, his wife our mother Christina.  He is survived by his children Ronnie (Becky), Donna (Ernie), Joni (John), Annabel (Virgil), and Gordon (Marty), many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  Dad will fondly be remembered for his witty humor and never being afraid to speak his mind.  With his words came confidence, trust, wisdom, and the strength to move forward in times of need.  Dad you will be sorely missed by all, but you have left us all with many memories to cherish.  Services are pending.
