Janice Earl Laney

Janice Earl Laney, 78, of Camas Valley, Oregon was born on December 15, 1936, to Glenn M. Earl and Ilene Burt Earl, in Brigham City, Utah, and she returned to her Heavenly Father on February 7, 2015. She grew up in Brigham City and was married to George Eugene Laney in the Salt Lake Temple in 1955. They lived in Utah, New Mexico, California and settled in Camas Valley, Oregon in 1978. She was proud of her Utah pioneer heritage and was a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served others for decades. She had a loving and nurturing nature and her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her great joy.

Janice was preceded in death by her son, John Laney; sister, Barbara Leary; parents, Glenn & Ilene (Burt) Earl. She is survived by her husband, George Laney; children: Michael & Linda Laney of Charleston, Oregon; Peggy & Tom Bidwell of Camas Valley, Oregon; Rhonda Laney, daughter-in-law, of Fairview, Utah; Hyrum & Nancy Laney of Camas Valley, Oregon; Mathew Laney of Seattle, Washington; along with 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Kathleen Parker of Taylorsville, Utah; and Patricia Ann Huntsman of Salt Lake City, Utah. A time of viewing will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 340 NW Glenhart, Winston, Oregon from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, a funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at the Brigham City Cemetery on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM.
