Linda Kay (Frazier) Eakin
Left this world to rest peacefully in the arms of her precious Savior on.
She was born November 13, 1948 in Medford, Oregon to Roland H. and Bernice A (Knight) Frazier as the 9th of 10 siblings and proud baby girl of 7 daughters. Though Linda was known for her quiet and soft spoken nature, her family knew her as a resilient and tough person having fought and won three battles with as many types of cancer in the last 20 yrs. This last battle included chemo 7 yrs. ago which weakened her big heart but not her “Never Give Up” Spirit!
Linda’s greatest joys were reading her bible, praying to her Heavenly Father, thrift store shopping with her son, and talking to her family to catch up on all the news from her kids, grandkids and many nieces and nephews.
Linda spent nearly two decades in faithful service at the local Veteran’s of Foreign War Auxiliary Post # 2468 where she served by her husband’s side in many capacities including but not limited to President and Trustee.
Linda is preceded in death by both of her parents Roland & Bernice (Knight) Frazier, all six sisters: Barbara, Colleen, Etta, Cora, Donna & Bonnie, one brother Joe and her dear grandson Dylan. She is survived in this life by her loving husband of 57 years Michael, D. Eakin, two brothers Danny Frazier and Nick Frazier, son Jarred S. Eakin, daughters Stephanie K. (Eakin) Reid (Scott), Melanie M. (Eakin) Sprague (James), Kate A. (Eakin) Windsor (Troy), 10 grandchildren plus there spouses/fiancés/ significant others, 4 great -grandchildren, brother and sister-in-laws and many, many nieces, great-nieces and nephews and great-nephews that she loved, cared and prayed for with all her heart.
Linda was known as a sweet, generous and faithful soul and will be greatly missed by all who have known and loved her. In lieu of flowers the family asks that monetary donations be made to the VFW Auxiliary Post # 2468 to assist in furthering the passion she served and held dear, assisting to help and honor our local American Heroes the United States Active Military Persons, Military Veterans and their families.
