Lore Kresky died March 13, 2026 after a lengthy illness. She was 78.
Lore was born in Germany to a U.S. Air Force family. During her younger years, her family travelled throughout the US and UK before settling in California. After graduating from high school, she worked in civil service.
She met her husband during high school at a friend’s party. A pillow fight ensued and they were smitten. Four years later they were married; the rest of their lives together is blissful history. While their early years together were in California, they soon moved on to a joyful life in Oregon.
Lore was a caring, supportive mother and friend. She was incredibly grateful that she found The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and believed strongly that her commitment to the teachings of the prophets helped her grow into the person The Lord meant for her to be. She had a life-long love for genealogy, the ocean, nature, and beautiful music. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her knew that she was full of life, love, and joy. She had a courageous, giving soul and always thanked The Lord daily for her many blessings. She loved others, and they loved her. She lived a rich and beautiful life.
Lore is survived by her husband of 57 years, two children, ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several extended family members, and many other loved ones.
Services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 10 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1864 NW Calkins Ave, Roseburg, OR. Donations may be made in Lore’s name to the American Cancer Society.
