Patricia Zimmerman

Greetings from the great beyond to all my relatives and friends. I believe that I am of sound mind as I write this to let you all know how much you have meant to me during my earthly years. I was born to George and Anna in Olean, New York, on March 30 – the year is immaterial as I was always 29 years of age.

I met Lloyd Zimmerman while attending Craig Colony School of Nursing and after graduation, we were married in 1956. We were able to be together at Lloyd’s military assignments and then came to Roseburg in 1962. I had worked at Douglas Community Hospital and then the Douglas County Public Health Dept from which I retired in 2002. We had 56 great years together, during which time we traveled and camped and “round danced” everywhere. He left this earth in 2013.

I was preceded in passing by my parents; two sisters and four brothers; and a granddaughter Nakita. 

I was fortunate to be the president of the “29” Club of our clan. I thank my family and friends for humoring me concerning this “fantasy.”

I am survived by children Marc (Allen, Texas), Eric (Salem, Oregon), Leedja Neilsen (Roseburg), Lisa Leos (Houston, Texas), Lynnae Neal (Roseburg), stepson Stephen (Florida), and 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and my special princess, Sophia. I am only gone from your sight until we meet again. 

Graveside services were held at Roseburg VA Memorial Gardens with placement of ashes beside beloved Lloyd.  A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on November 28, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Winston, Oregon.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Doernbecher Children’s Hospital or to a charity of your choice. 

Amendment to my will -- please be considerate of each other and do not fight over anything as I will come back and haunt you!!!
