After 104 unforgettable years, on Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, the world, along with our family and friends, lost our beloved Rose. Rose was born July 24, 1906 in San Antonio, Texas, to Swiss immigrants, Gottlieb and Emma Pluss Gautsche. In 1915 the family moved to Los Angeles and Rose remained in Southern California for the next 96 years. Rose was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time working in her garden, being with family and friends and watching her SanDiego Padres baseball team on television. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil R. Havens; daughters: Beverly Guidera-Smith and Betty Jean Kellogg. She is survived by daughter, Virginia Fraser of Ventura; grandchildren, Roberta (Roy) Hopkins of Ojai, Daniel (Robin) Guidera of San Marcos, Carrie (Douglas) Standley of Southlake, Texas, Peggy Kellogg of Benicia, Steven (Suzan) Dawe of Tucson, Ariz.; nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. There will be a visitation from 2-6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11 at the Funeral Home, Ventura. The graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 12 at Court of Freedom, Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale.
